Therapy for Trauma/EMDR
Healing past wounds, restoring safety, and supporting deeper connection — in a calm, compassionate space.
EMDR is an evidence-based approach designed to help the brain and body heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. When something overwhelming happens, the nervous system can hold onto those memories in a way that continues to trigger emotional or physical distress, even long after the event.
EMDR supports the natural healing process by engaging both sides of the brain through gentle, guided eye movements or bilateral stimulation. This allows painful memories to be processed and integrated - so they no longer feel as charged or defining.
In our work together, EMDR is woven in a relational and parts-aware framework, meaning we move at a pace that feels safe and supported. You remain in control at every step. The goal isn’t to relive the past, but release it’s hold - so you can experience greater calm, clarity and confidence in the present.
Healing from Trauma
Trauma isn’t just about what happened — it’s about how your mind and body learned to survive.
You might notice things like:
Flashbacks or memories that pop up unexpectedly
Feeling emotionally numb or shutting down
Difficulty trusting or really connecting with others
Patterns in your relationships that keep repeating and causing pain
Anxiety, restlessness, or tension that doesn’t seem to go away
These reactions aren’t a sign that you’re broken. Your nervous system has been doing its best to keep you safe. With the right support, you can feel safer in your body, more connected to your emotions, and more present in your relationships.
How EMDR & Trauma Therapy Can Help
EMDR and trauma-informed therapy give us a gentle way to process past experiences without retraumatizing you. In our work together, we’ll focus on:
Reducing the intensity of memories or triggers that feel overwhelming
Calming your nervous system and helping you feel more grounded
Understanding protective patterns your mind and body developed
Strengthening your connection with yourself — and with others
If you’re coming as a couple, we also explore how trauma shows up in your relationship and learn ways to respond to each other with more understanding and safety.
Sessions are available in-person in Pasadena or virtually, so you can get support wherever feels safest for you.
My Approach
In our work together, EMDR is woven in a relational and parts-aware framework, meaning we move at a pace that feels safe and supported. You remain in control at every step. The goal isn’t to relive the past, but release it’s hold - so you can experience greater calm, clarity and confidence in the present.
Together, we’ll create a space where you can:
Explore memories, feelings, and body sensations safely
Learn ways to calm anxiety and stress
Rebuild emotional safety in yourself and in your relationships
Begin to soften patterns that have been keeping you stuck.
Your Mind and Body are deserved of rest.
